hello there,
the topic of today's post is very cool, as we all know that every one out there want Nokia to produce android phone but there isnt any yet, but from the article i found out for gsmarena it seams that a rummer is out, that an Nokia is working on an android smart phone.
if you want to know more read the following article:
Nokia Android prototype reportedly is still into production
Last week the New York Times revealed that Nokia has indeed worked on an Android smartphone as an alternative to the Microsoft partnership prior to the acquisition announcement. As it turns out, the Finns haven't completely scraped the Android project and are still working on an Android smartphone.
The report comes from a Weibo account CTechnology, which has generally been a reputable source of leaks from China. we are mentioning China, because this where Nokia has based the R&D of its Android smartphoneр dubbed "Mountain View", more specifically in the Beijing offices of the company.
In fact, the project is so ahead in its development that Foxconn has made and delivered a cool 10,000 "Mountain View" prototype units to date. Moreover, there are still more development that's going around the prototype and Foxconn is continuing its manufacturing. According to the report, the project will continue to live on at least until November. Then, Nokia shareholders are bound to approve or denounce Microsoft's acquisition offer.
As for the "Mountain View" prototype itself, Nokia has based it on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 8225Q chip with the sole intention of the Android smartphone to be affordable. No more information regarding further specifications is available at this point. We wouldn't be surprised if we some of these prototypes leak when, and if, the project gets cancelled.
The Microsoft and Nokia deal, however, is likely to pass and the company's Android initiative is likely to go bite the dust by the end of the year. Here's hoping we at least get to see how the "Mountain View" prototype looks like if the project really does go south.
thank you for reading i hope you liked it so have a nice day
I found this article by "Devid nield" in "www.techradar.com", its very interesting, at least I think that more than enough people are interested in knowing what is the future of android what will Google do with it in the future what possible changes there going to and thing like that so don't waste any time and continue reading this post to know more
Android in 2020: the future of Google's mobile OS explored
Cast your mind back to late 2008, when the first Android-powered
handset saw the light of day. Obama won his first Presidential election,
Apple launched its App Store (the iPhone had appeared the year before),
Google announced its own Chrome browser and we got our first look at
the company's new mobile OS on the T-Mobile G1.
The
Android of 2013 is a world away from that 2008 version, where the
Android Market was in its infancy, there were no native video playback
capabilities and the G1 had no multi-touch support. But Google is going
to have to keep innovating and improving its mobile OS to keep the
lion's share of the smartphone market.
We've taken a peek into
the future to consider what Android might look like in the year 2020.
With new Android monikers now appearing about once a year, its codename
should start with an "R" - Rhubarb Pie, Rocky Road or Rice Pudding,
perhaps? Or maybe even Rolos, given the tie-up deals Google is putting
in place these days?
Here are the four key features we think could play the biggest part in Android's ongoing evolution over the next seven years:
1. Maps in Android in 2020
Apple's
Maps app may not have set the world alight when it launched, but it's
here now (alongside Nokia's offering), and that means Google needs to up
its game to stay ahead. The 2013 Google Maps refresh brought with it a greater level of customisation based on your personal searches, and this will only increase in the future.
With
Google Now and Google Latitude tracking your every move, you'll see
directions to your favourite pub appear on-screen every Friday
lunchtime. If the pub in question has an Android-powered bar installed,
you might even find your tipple of choice waiting for you when you
arrive.
As for all of the services hanging off Maps, Google is already hiring out the Street View cameras and enabling you to peek inside buildings - you can expect Android 2020 to offer better imagery of most public buildings, as well as tappable info as you move around.
There
might even be an option to enable Google to anonymously augment its
Street View data with the snaps you take on your phone to provide an
even more up-to-date view of the world.
2. Android messaging in 2020
Google has already made its intentions clear with the Hangouts upgrade
we got at I/O this year. With Facebook, WhatsApp, FaceTime, Snapchat,
Skype et al to battle against, there's no doubt we'll see Google push
further into the universal messaging game, covering SMS, email, instant
messaging and video calling with tools that are baked into Android.
You
won't have to have separate apps for each of these, as the UI will be
unified in a way that makes it easy to seamlessly slip between each
method of calling.
We might even get Google Voice in the UK by the time 2020 rolls around, though don't hold your breath.
How far Google can go depends on the networks and its competitors in the field - it's already launched an ultra-fast internet service in the US, so telecoms could be next. And the company has been sniffing around unused wireless spectrum frequencies, too.
Don't
be surprised to see free 5G video calling and texting between Android
devices by 2020, with all of your conversations grouped by person rather
than platform, and archived and searchable in Gmail.
Eric Schmidt has already predicted
that every human will be online by 2020 (no doubt hoping that we'll all
have a Google+ page too), and the more people his company can help get
connected the better for Google's bottom line.
3. Android payments and security in 2020
Over
the next few years our phones will become even more important for
making payments, transferring money and verifying our identity
(everything from getting through the door at work to logging into
Facebook).
The Google Authenticator app of 2020 could work with
your device's NFC chip to automatically log you into Gmail when you sit
down at your laptop, for example, or pay for your flight when you step
on a plane. Apple has Passbook, and Google will want an equivalent in
place too.
We've seen tattoos
and pills shown off as possible authentication triggers of the future,
and Android 2020 will play a big part in proving you are who you say you
are, whether it's at a coffee shop or Google I/O.
Basic face
recognition is already available, but in the years to come it has the
potential to get much more accurate. It might even be joined by
fingerprint or retina scanning built into Android's camera app, or at
least part of the phone, now that Apple has shown that fingerprint
scanning is a viable option with its new Touch ID technology.
4. Android hardware in 2020
Hardware
innovations are going to play a big part in Android's roadmap. Besides
the obvious smaller, thinner, faster improvements for our phones, bendable screens
should be in place in the near future - the likes of Samsung have the
tech already in production, and Android will change to adapt itself
through scrolling rivers of news, status updates and other
notifications.
Ever-changing, ever-optimising displays will be
the order of the day, and the batteries and mobile processors of 2020
should be able to keep up. Google Glass has of course generated plenty of buzz this year, good and bad, as has the rumour of an Apple iWatch to compete with the Galaxy Gear.
It looks like the wearable tech revolution is about to take off, and by
the time 2020 rolls around this could mean miniature devices on our
glasses, wrists and clothing, ready to capture every moment and record
every movement.
You won't need to take photos any more, since
Google will simply pick out the best pictures from the unedited stream
of the day's events. Nor will you need to decide what to eat for dinner -
Android 2020 will know what you've been doing today (and what you're
probably doing tonight), and can pick out the most suitable foods for
you.
Android: the 2020 edition
The only certainty about Android's future is that it has a fight on its hands to stay competitive. Apple's new-look iOS 7 has given Google plenty to think about, not least with its tie-ins with Facebook, Twitter, Bing, Flickr and Vimeo.
Android's
continuing integration with Chrome and the desktop/laptop will make for
an interesting story too - they're both run by the same man, Sundar Pichai,
remember - and perhaps Google's biggest challenge will be to convince
us that we can trust it with more and more information about where we
are, who we communicate with and the way we live our lives.
so that's it every one thanks for reading and i hope you like the article by David Nield .

IKEA's Augmented Reality 2014 Catalog Lets You Preview Products in Your Apartment!
HELLO every one,
This time i found something interesting while surfing on the internet, its very nice idea very innovative. read further to find out more
Instead of trekking down to the IKEA showroom with your measuring tape, camera, and color swatches, you can now shop comfortably in your own home without the fear of buying something that does not fit with the rest of your decor. IKEA’s upcoming 2014 catalog, which will be released on August 25, will allow you to preview products in your home using augmented reality to ensure that your purchase is the perfect size, style, and color for your interior. IKEA’s iOS and Android applications will let you preview over 90 products, and the catalog will feature 50 pages that can be scanned for additional information.
To take advantage of IKEA‘s augmented reality catalog, customers download a program through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The catalog is placed within the room the user wants to decorate, and the application senses and measures the booklet itself to create accurate images. Products then appear on your smartphone’s screen in the correct size and color. IKEA hopes their catalog will help to cut down in accidental purchases, or what they refer to as “square peg, round hole syndrome”. They estimate that seventy percent of people do not know the area of their homes, and fourteen percent have admitted to buying items that were the wrong dimensions for their rooms.
“Our customers want to be able to test out whether the products they’ve been inspired by in our catalog will work in their own homes – particularly when it comes to larger pieces of furniture. Offering a way of using mobile technology to enable to test products means the technology has a practical purpose and really helps customers visualize the way their homes could look.” says Peter Wright, Country Marketing Manager, IKEA UK and Ireland.
With the help of cutting-edge software, IKEA is looking to make interior decorating more fun, efficient, and less wasteful. By cutting down on returns, the company can potentially save money and energy in shipping and production costs. Sadly, you still have to go to the store in person to visit the cafeteria. + IKEAVia Dezeen

The following is the list of top 10 android phone by "www.bestmobileoffers.net"check out the list i hope you will enjoy it.
10. ZTE Grand S
ZTE may not be a name that is as familiar to you as, say, Samsung or
Sony, but the Chinese manufacturer has been making waves in its home
land and is starting to get noticed on the international scene thanks to
its brilliant range of smartphones.
Revealed at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas earlier
this year, the ZTE Grand S turned out to be a real crowd pleaser and one
of the stars of the three-day event. Boasting a beautiful 5-inch Full
HD resolution display, which is the thinnest ever seen on a smartphone
at just 0.55 mm, the ZTE flagship is a real piece of high quality tech.
Also thin like the touchscreen is the chassis of the phone – just 6.9
mm. That is quite incredible for what is such a large device.
Under the hood, the Grand S
is very similar to Sony’s Xperia Z, which means Android Jelly Bean 4.1,
a 13-megapixel primary camera, 16 GB of internal storage, and a
micro-SD card slot. ZTE does have the slight edge over Sony in the
processing stakes though, with a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of
RAM.
9. Samsung Galaxy Note 2
By taking the best bits of a smartphone and a tablet and dubbing it a
“phablet,” Samsung impressed the whole tech world with its Galaxy Note.
With the release of the Note 2 in late 2012, Samsung set the bar even higher.
Yes, its size may put some people off, but there can be no denying
that this is a beast of a smartphone. Packing a 5.5-inch, 720 x 1280
resolution, 267ppi display, the Note 2 does a pretty good job of
providing extra real estate without being too big for the pocket. The
wonderful colour reproduction of the screen makes it the phone’s
standout feature; however, there is a lot more to love under the hood.
Samsung’s own Exynos 4412 Cortex A-9 quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM
mean that everything from gaming to watching movies is tackled with
ease on the silky smooth Android Jelly Bean. The same 8-MP camera used
on the Samsung Galaxy S3 provides solid image and video results and has a
feature line-up to ensure boredom is never an issue. There is also
plenty of room to store these images with 16, 32, and 64 GB versions of
the device and a micro-SD card slot.
Anyone struggling to come to terms with the size of the screen can take advantage of the super-responsive S-Pen stylus.
While, the past couple of years have seen some staggeringly good
Android phones hit the market – many of which are featured here –
nothing has yet to be as revolutionary as the YotaPhone.
Unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in February, the YotaPhone is a
truly remarkable device that boasts a high-quality 4.3-inch 720p HD
display on one side and a 4.30-inch e-ink display on the other. Yes
folks, this is a Kindle and a smartphone rolled into one!
Naturally, the dual-display is a selling point on its own, but the YotaPhone is not willing to get by on just that unique feature alone. The phone also comes with an almost stock version of Android Jelly Bean, an excellent 12-MP primary camera and a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processor to keep things running lag-free.
7. Huawei Ascend Mate
Chinese manufacturer Huawei has garnered quite a reputation for
producing high-end smartphones at low prices over the last year or two,
and its latest flagship – the Ascend Mate – is a sign that the company
is ready to take the West by storm. Anyone with even a passing interest
in smartphones will know that big screens are “in” at the moment, but
few will have ever seen a display like the 6.1-inch 720p screen that the
Mate is packing.
Such a display will have smartphone gaming and video enthusiasts foaming at the mouth, as will the fact that the Ascend Mate
has a 1.5 quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM in the engine room. There
is no task that the Jelly Bean OS can throw at this device that will
slow it down.
Samsung’s Galaxy S4 was one of the most hotly anticipated smartphones
of all-time and was given a Broadway-style song and dance unveiling in
the heart of New York City back in March. The S4 is an almost flawless
device; however, if there is one thing holding it back you would have to
say it is the TouchWiz user interface. Fortunately, if you are one of
those who prefers less Samsung and more Google in their operating
system, there is a solution: the Galaxy S4 Nexus Edition.
Announced by Google at its I/O Conference in May, the S4 Nexus is the
same as the Samsung S4 in every way, apart from the OS. This S4 will
come with stock Android and all the benefits that come along with it,
including updates as soon as they are released.
Android purists are sure to love this device and the recently
announced HTC One Google Edition – also running a stock version of the
Google OS.
5. Samsung Galaxy Note 3
We’ve already spoken about how brilliant the Samsung Galaxy Note 2
is, and its successor is set to be even better. Like those before it,
the Galaxy Note 3
is expected to launch in September at the IFA conference in Berlin. At
this event, we can expect to see a phone that breaks in to 6-inch
display territory and comes packing a lot of power. Samsung revealed its
new Exynos 5 eight-core processor back in February and we could well
see it in this device, along with the latest Google operating system
(possibly 5.0 Key Lime Pie) and the same 13-MP camera used in the Galaxy
S4.
4. Google Nexus 4
The stock Android experienced is a strong selling point for any
device, but when that experience is priced at half the amount of its
rivals, you have a real winner on your hands. The LG-made Google Nexus 4
has become one of the most elusive phones on the market since its
release in late 2012, with Google simply unable to keep up with the
demands of smartphone fans looking to grab a top phone - with a top
operating system - at a low price.
Everything about the Google Nexus 4
oozes class, from the glass-sandwiched premium body, to the dazzling
4.7-inch 1280 x 768 resolution 318ppi screen. The power is also great
too: a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1.5 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM
providing enough in the way of speed to make every task a pleasure.
An 8-MP primary camera with 1080p@30fps recording provides decent
results and its use is helped no end by the excellent PhotoSphere
feature. The only real downside to this device is the lack of real
internal storage power, with just 8 GB and 16 GB versions of the phone
offered.
3. Samsung Galaxy S4
We’ve made it to the top three now, and the first of this year’s real
hard-hitters – the Samsung Galaxy S4. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Nexus
Edition featured at number 6 in the list, but that phone would have
never received a mention were it not for the phone that paved its path.
The Galaxy S4 had a lot to live up to when it was released back in April
– the Galaxy S3 was a game-changing smartphone, and one that few
thought Samsung would ever top. Thankfully for smartphone fans, the
Korean company has pulled it off.
The Galaxy S4
is a slightly more serious looking phone than its predecessor, and
gives the appearance that it really means business. Samsung has opted to
stick with the much-maligned plastic back panel, but it doesn’t really
take too much away from the device. The S4 is better spec’d, more
innovative, and has a bigger screen than the S3. Speaking of the screen,
the 5.0-inch Full HD resolution display at 441ppi is truly spectacular,
with vivid colours and deep darks. A 1.6 GHz Cortex A-15 processor and 2
GB of RAM are used to power the phone and performance is staggering as a
result.
Smartphone photographers will enjoy the 13-MP camera, which produces
quality images and excellent features, including Dual Shot, whereby both
cameras (front and rear) shoot footage at the same time.
As ever, Samsung is generous with storage, offering 16, 32, and 64 GB
versions of the S4 and a micro-SD card slot for a further 64 GB of
space.
In truth, any one of the top three could have made it to number one
in the list of the top 10 smartphones of 2013/14, so the Sony Xperia Z
can count itself a bit unlucky to be at number 2. Sony has only had
moderate success as a smartphone manufacturer to date, so the Xperia Z
really had to be a great phone if it was to challenge the likes of
Samsung and HTC at the top of the market. And a great phone it is.
The squared off corners and shatterproof glass front and back panels
give this device a premium design that is unlike anything else on the
market. A fairly heavy 146-gram weight and 7.9 mm thickness only serve
to add to the phone’s aesthetic appeal.
The number one feature of the Xperia Z may be the fact that it is
IP57 dust and water resistant, allowing it to be submerged to a depth of
1 metre for 30 minutes. However, such a feature should not be all this
handset is known for, because the Sony flagship excels in every
department. The colour reproduction on the Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine
powered, Full HD 5.0, screen is a joy to behold, and a 1.5 GHz quad-core
processor with 2 GB of RAM really helps the phone’s performance, giving
it a real slickness.
The Xperia Z comes running Android Jelly Bean 4.1 out of the box, with a 4.2 upgrade already planned.
Despite producing stellar handsets in recent years, HTC One has never
really captured public attention in the same way as Samsung – the HTC
One will change all that.
This smartphone really is as good as it gets. A machined precession
aluminium body gives the phone a build that only the iPhone can compare
to. Like the Xperia Z, the weight (143 grams) and thickness (9.3 mm)
only serve to add to the premium feel and make the One a dream to
handle.
By opting for a 4.7 –inches instead of 5.0-inches in the display
department, HTC has produced the best quality display ever seen on a
smartphone, with Full HD resolution producing 469ppi. Colours are
wonderfully vivid and text is pin sharp every time, no matter if you’re
watching Netflix or browsing the web.
The HTC One
is also a powerhouse of a smartphone, boasting a Qualcomm Snapdragon
1.7 GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB of RAM. The Taiwanese manufacturer
comes up trumps in the camera department too, with a 4-MP ultrapixel
snapper delivering staggering quality. Both the rear and front facing
cameras get 1080p video recording and the secondary camera, at 2.1-MP,
is great for video callers.
Beats Audio will have your music sounding better than ever and 32 or
64 GB of internal storage should ensure plenty of space for tunes.
Android smartphones are really pushing the boundaries in terms of
design and innovation, and if your next device happens to be one from
this list, you are guaranteed to be in for a treat.
bye every one hope you all enjoyed checking it out.
